Morning Pages
Join local author, counsellor and well-being facilitator Sophie Buchaillard for this one-hour workshop, taking place in the Maker Space at Penarth Library, on the mornings of the 12th of August and repeated on the 13th, 14th and 15th of August, from 10 to 11am.
The session will last an hour and blend breathing exercises and writing prompts to start your day and explore the benefits of ‘morning pages’ a practice of free writing coined by Julia Cameron and which many authors use as part of their creative practice, Sophie included.
Start the day by ‘emptying your mind’ onto the page as a way to make space for creative thinking. It is good fun, and there is mounting research that shows it can contribute to a healthy mind. No prior writing experience needed.
