About

Sophie Buchaillard is an ecologically-minded poet, artist, grower, potter, well-being facilitator and systems thinker; and the author of two novels, a dozen creative essays and a poetry pamphlet.

Sophie believes in the power of storytelling and collaboration to change lives and foster strong communities for the future. She has been shortlisted for Wales Book of the Year, the Bridport Poetry Prize and a Womenspire Award for her advocacy work.

She splits her time between facilitating creative projects and workshops in the community; observing the journey of the food she grows, from seed to table; and subverting form to re-imagine tomorrow, preferably in collaboration with other creative dreamers.

She is Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of Lapidus International and holds a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing from Cardiff University.

One of my workshop participants recently commented that my gift is to hold space for others to be creative.
