BBC Wales’ news Specialist Journalist team cover the big stories in politics and policy as they affect our audiences. We provide news and analysis for our television, radio and digital services in both English and Welsh. The Culture Correspondent is a new role that we’ve created to expand the depth and reach of our journalism.
-You’ll be comfortable covering everything from Welsh National Opera to the latest blockbuster, from Tom Jones concerts to cuts to local arts funding. It’s a wide-ranging brief that’ll bring you into contact with diverse slices of Welsh life.
-We expect you to break the biggest stories and land the big interviews, and report on them all in a confident, professional and engaging way that makes sure we reach all our audiences.
-You’ll be crafting packages for television and radio, reporting live in studio and on location, and writing in an engaging and insightful way for our digital audiences. You’ll also be a regular face on our social channels.
-We’d also expect you to play a role in making editorial decisions – including prioritising your own time – across the wider newsroom.
