The Role

Are you someone who brings both creative spark and calm organisation to your work? Do you thrive on clear plans and unexpected joy? Are you excited by theatre that happens outdoors, in community spaces, and in ways that welcome everyone?

This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone starting out in producing or arts coordination, with support and learning built in. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team delivering street theatre and participatory projects that features artists with learning disabilities and/or autism.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Support the planning and delivery of our street theatre programme, helping manage schedules, logistics and communication
  • Work alongside Hijinx Actors and their support networks to ensure they can fully participate in creative projects
  • Assist with the coordination of Odyssey’s annual Christmas show, a joyful, community-led production made right here in Cardiff
  • Help the Theatre team stay organised and connected, supporting the Senior Producer with day-to-day admin, documentation and planning

You’ll be working most closely with the Senior Producer, but you’ll also collaborate with our Artistic DirectorProduction Manager, and other project partners. You don’t need lots of experience – just good instincts, care, and a willingness to learn.

  • A completed Diversity Monitoring Form – please confirm in your covering letter that you have completed this form: forms.office.com/e/Q3i3Q5WFK6

Applications should be sent to jobs@hijinx.org.uk by midnight on 03 August 2025.
